The Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA)

All those who agreed to assist veterans pro-bono are now carrying a full case load and are unable to accept new cases. Unforunately the OTLA has suspended the program.

The Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA) established Trial Lawyers for Veterans Program in December 2010. The program provided veterans with access to pro-bono legal representation to assist veterans with their dealings with VAC, whether it be in response to "no decision" disability benefit or challenges with the appeals process or issues with the Veterans Review and Appeal Board.

Although the program is currently suspended, we recommend that those who had hoped to use this service contact the OTLA to inquire if there has been any change in the case load or the availability of assistance through the OTLA.

Thanks Supreme for that notice. I will compose a letter and forward to the address enclosed as my spouse and I have no doubt many others will be at a disadvantage moving forward with their appeals and issues.
